The CAD CAM dental is a technological system that leaves the design and preparation of dental prostheses by computer. Through this digital technology we are able to design and manufacture very precise dental restorations and of high quality. These peculiarities allow us to greatly reduce the margin of human failure.
These fabrication is done from a three-dimensional digital reproduction of the mouth, achieving a perfect fit of the prosthesis.
CAD CAM TECHNOLOGY
The CAD technology (computer-aided design) CAM (dental-assisted manufacturing) is a fundamental step forward in relation to conventional dentistry.
This gives us an enormous precision in the diagnosis and preparation, apart from allowing us to simulate the surgery that we are going to use in the chosen area.
CAD CAM technology consists of three processes:
- The scan of the tooth or tooth implant in the model.
- The PC design of the aesthetic prosthesis through a three-dimensional software that allows the calculation of the insertion axes, have reference of the opposing model, draw a line in the cervical margin and five hundred percent increments.
- Robotic milling or fabrication of the parts from the design information of the prosthesis in a few minutes.
